Our ice cream is made with only the finest ingredients from local farms and artisans. We go to great measures to ensure that every producer with whom we partner fits with the MilkMade Mission. To do so, we've created a Responsible Sourcing Checklist to assess new ingredient partners:
- If we’re putting it in our ‘scream, it must be LOCAL. Locally produced, locally grown. If it’s not, it’s fair-trade, or sourced from family farms or small cooperatives.
- It must be RESPONSIBLY PRODUCED with consideration for the environment.
- It must also be MADE WITH THE FINEST LOCAL INGREDIENTS.
- And produced in a SMALL-BATCH manner.
- It must be a SUPERIOR PRODUCT. The best in town.
- And finally, it must come from CHILL DUDES with whom we are proud to partner and make their story a part of our own.

Founded 2011 by Steven and Natalie Judelson
Amagansett Sea Salt was founded by husband and wife team, Natalie and Steven in 2011. They believe in the same method we do: crafting their product in small batches by hand to ensure the best tasting, highest quality product. And just like us, they don’t take a break for the winter. Year round, these salt makers take daily trips to the ocean and collect sea water bucket by bucket.
Founded 2009 by Viraj Puri
Gotham Greens is a global pioneer in the field of urban agriculture and a leading regional producer of hyper-local, premium-quality vegetables and herbs. They’re “farmers that live in apartments” and grow their produce on the rooftops of Brooklyn. They took fresh to whole new levels with their flagship greenhouse. Built in 2011, it was the first commercial scale rooftop greenhouse in the United States. They’re awesome. And so is their basil.

Founded 2004 by Jessica Arceri
Saratoga Peanut Butter Co. started off like all great companies – an obsession and a desire to make something better (in this case, peanut butter; in ours, ice cream). Jessica, the founder, wanted to make a delicious and nutritious product without sacrificing anything – especially flavor. She’s not afraid to experiment with ingredients like white chocolate, maple, almonds and cherries! Oh, and did we mention it’s made and delivered fresh? Saratoga Peanut Butter Company is our kindred spirit of PB.

Founded 2010 by Ryan Cheney
Raaka is a bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. They make their chocolate from scratch without roasting. With an uncompromising commitment to quality, the cacao they source is grown for exceptional flavor directly from the producer and all of their chocolate is handcrafted using creative and innovative techniques to bring out the best in the cocoa bean.

Founded in the 1800 by the Coté Family
A fourth generation beekeeper, Andrew Coté’s family has been keeping bees since the 1800s. With beehives in four of the five boroughs of NYC, Andrew’s honey is location-specific, so one jar might come from a balcony hive in Hell’s Kitchen while another comes from a backyard in Queens and a third from rooftops on the Upper East Side. That's some seriously local honey.

Van Brunt Stillhouse is an artisanal distillery, located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Using a time honored traditional approach to distilling, Van Brunt sources wheat, rye and corn directly from upstate New York farmers, and makes all of their spirits from scratch. Their family of whiskeys give a nod to classic styles while remaining innovative, unique, and inviting.
Equal Exchange has challenged traditional trade models for over 20 years. It is their mission to build long-term trade partnerships that are economically just and environmentally sound. To foster mutually beneficial relationships between farmers and consumers and to demonstrate, through success, the contribution of worker co-operatives and Fair Trade to a more equitable, democratic, and sustainable world. Having already transformed the coffee, tea, and chocolate industries, they are now taking things beyond the peel and are damn proud to offer fair choice when it comes to bananas.
Founded 2010 by Dan Cohen
Dan, or “Danny Macaroons” as he also goes by, first started baking macaroons over 15 years ago. During a trip home from college to celebrate Passover, he asked his mom why his family never had macaroons for the holiday. And she said, “Well, if you want them, you can make them.” Oh are we glad he did! Committed to making the best coconut macaroons you can find, all of Danny Macaroons are handmade using carefully sourced, premium flake, non-GMO coconut. This leads to a totally new texture - crunchy on the outside, yet moist and almost fudgy in the middle, making for a delightful mix-in.

That’s because for over 20 years they have been devoting themselves to recreating the timeless, classic dessert that founder Steve Tarpin grew up on in South Florida.
